Hi guys, Deen and Zane here, on this post we are going to teach you the basic chords C D and A.
If you look at the guitar, under the strings there are lots of vertical lines. These are called frets.
We use frets by holding down behind them in order to make other notes. For example, the note C is at the first fret of string B so if you go to the B string, put your first just behind the first fret and pluck the B string, you will get the note C. This makes a higher sound than plucking the B string on its own.
Next there is D. This is at the third fret on the B string. However, you must play it with your third finger on the fret. Can you see the pattern for what fingers go on what frets now? In addition to this, D is higher than C.
In this section we are going to teach you the note A. This note is on the second fret of the G string
so you will play it with your second finger on that fret.
Now we are going to teach you a scale from G to High E. This is:
When you master this scale you will be able to play it a lot more faster. Then you can impress your friends with a cool tune.
